Staff Wardrobe
The Alternative Apparel Los Angeles design studio had an intense appreciation and love of coffee, so it was only natural that we begin a collaboration with one of the leading gourmet coffee companies, Blue Bottle Coffee. Working with the staff at their Arts District location, I designed and assembled a unisex wardrobe from our line, curated to fit the coffee company's expertise and aesthetic. This included chambray and oxford button ups, french terry crew necks and five panel baseball hats.
Aaron London, "Al's Place"
Chef and Staff's Aprons
Aaron London, chef and owner of Al's Place, came to Alternative with the goal of creating the best chef's apron ever made. Through a laborious process of design and testing done by the staff in his kitchen, three aprons were made specifically for positions in his restaurant. The aprons are made of pin striped denim and feature several strategically place pockets to best serve a chef in daily use. The three aprons now outfit his entire staff in San Francisco at Bon Appetit's "Best New Restaurant of 2015".
Tesla Motors
Racing Jacket
Working closely with the Tesla design team, Alternative Apparel developed a 100% organic cotton, fleeced fabric, proprietary to Tesla and made in Peru. The fully zipped jacket with Tesla embroidery was modeled after a classic racing jacket and created as an accompaniment to the release of their Model X.
